Transitional Friday: Ecclesiastes 3: 15-17, History will Repeat Itself

Transitional Friday: Ecclesiastes 3: 15-17, History will Repeat Itself

Posted on June 27, 2014August 24, 2016 by trinitychristianlifecoaching

We are going through Ecclesiastes 3, looking at the promise God made about the different seasons and decisions in life.

Whatever is has already been—God brings back what has already passed away  God calling

and what will be has been before—the old adage “history repeats itself” is true.  Even God tells us that here.

and God will call the past to account—God keeps bringing the same lessons in our lives until we have grasped it.  I’ve witnessed this in my own life at times and I have discovered that it is usually more painful each time it returns.

And I saw something else under the sun—there are things that are visible in this realm that we see, but in the realm of God that we cannot see.  There are boundaries of life and these are bookended by birth and death.

In the place of judgment—wickedness was there—we find wickedness even in places where we should not, such as in courts, church and government offices
judgement
in the place of justice—wickedness was there—often evil seems to triumph over good, and we don’t understand why at times.

I said to myself,

“God will bring into judgment—God can change our situation; He will bring judgment to all  both the righteous and the wicked—His judgment will extend to both the good and the bad for there will be a time for every activity—there is a time and a place for everything a time to judge every deed.—God will judge all of our deeds and activities one day.”

Where have you seen history repeat itself?

It’s an honor to welcome Anna Grace Miller to today’s author spotlight. We’ve been in a critique group for over 5 years now (how is that possible?) and grown together in our craft. Finding Peace in Each Day By Barbara M. Britton In a novel, conflict and tension keep readers turning pages to see what happens to their beloved characters. Guest Post: A Holy City Christmas by Christina Sinisi

There’s something magical about Christmas…but in Charleston, South Carolina, the holiday is extra special. The local chapter of the American Christian Fiction Writers has published an anthology of eight short stories that celebrate the festive joy of the holiday with the beauty of the Holy City (called that because of the number of churches and the regulations that no downtown […]
